Imagine that you have recorded some videos using your digital video camera or photo camera and you would like to burn them on a DVD, for playing them in supported devices. Unfortunately, Windows doesn't include a feature for converting regular video files into a DVD-compatible format. Windows Movie Maker, the authoring utility which comes with Windows, is limited in features and difficult to use.

Fortunately, there are certain applications on the market which allow you to easily turn any video file into a regular video DVD, which can be played in any DVD player or other media device. One such application is DVD Flick. After installing the program, the user will first need to add the desired video file or group of files into the program's interface. After doing so, one will be able to customize the video, add an additional audio source and even subtitles.

After completing the video addition step, one will be able to select and customize the disc's menu, by choosing one of the several templates available in DVD Flick. Having the menu configured, all that's left to do is to access the project properties section, which allows the user to fully customize the video DVD project and choose the type of disc that will be used, the level of video and audio quality and so on. Besides that, one will be able to have the project burned to a blank DVD or saved as an ISO file, for burning it later on.

Pros

It allows you to convert any video file into a regular video DVD, for an easier playback. Besides that, subtitles and additional audio tracks can be added. Furthermore, the video and audio quality can be customized, together with the type of blank DVD that will be used for burning the project. What's more, there are several menu templates available.

Cons

Some users may have trouble configuring the video and audio quality settings, as there are many of them available. DVD Flick allows you to turn any video file into a regular video DVD, in the easiest way possible.
